When is Cabo Rojo Airport expected to open?
A Ministry of the Presidency report published on 7 September 2026, covering a visit on 4 September, says the government is working toward airport operations in February 2027. The report identifies the airport as being in Oviedo, within Pedernales province. This guide was reviewed on 16 October 2026.
A construction target does not establish a bookable airline schedule, an exact first-flight date or the pickup arrangements at a passenger terminal. The airport project, the Cabo Rojo tourism development and a hotel in Pedernales town are different locations. A trip described simply as “Pedernales” leaves the final drop-off unclear. The official report also discusses the cruise port separately; arriving by ship is not an airport arrival.
Send the property's complete name and its address or map pin. For a villa, include the entrance or host's access instructions. If you are travelling to a beach or park, specify the intended meeting point rather than choosing a nearby hotel as a substitute.

What will a CBJ hotel transfer cost?

For an onward visit to Bahía de las Águilas or Jaragua National Park, confirm the final access arrangements separately.
