What the VIP tier is intended to change
The plan is straightforward: VIP means a better vehicle, not a different service. A standard tier — an air-conditioned SUV or minivan — is expected to cover most trips comfortably. VIP is planned as a newer, higher-trim SUV for smaller parties, or an executive-style Sprinter for larger groups, with more legroom and luggage space for longer routes.
Whichever tier a traveller chooses, the underlying process — an advance interest list today, a private vehicle once CBJ opens, and no shared shuttle model — is planned to be identical.
Where VIP is expected to matter most
Distance is the deciding factor in this region more than in most: a drive from CBJ toward Santo Domingo, or into the Sierra de Bahoruco and Hoyo de Pelempito, is a genuinely long journey on the existing road network. A higher-trim vehicle is expected to make the most difference on those longer routes, compared with a short hop within Pedernales town or to nearby Cabo Rojo.
It is also the tier we expect to suit travellers arriving for a wedding, a research posting, or a first visit to a villa near the coast, where a more comfortable vehicle sets the tone for the stay.
What we will not claim about VIP
There is no fast-track or priority processing through any future CBJ arrivals process that a ground transport operator could offer — no such procedure has been announced, and if one exists it would be run by the airport authority, not by a transfer company. VIP, in our plan, is entirely about the vehicle you ride in once you are through the terminal, whatever that terminal eventually looks like.

As with the standard tier, there is no live booking today. Tell us you would like the VIP class along with your destination and expected dates, and we will include that preference when we contact everyone on the advance interest list once CBJ's opening and rates are officially confirmed.
