The planned classes
The fleet is being planned around the same broad classes used at other Dominican airports, adjusted for the longer distances typical of Pedernales province.
- Standard SUV or minivan — for smaller parties and shorter local trips
- Passenger van or minibus — for larger groups travelling together
- VIP executive SUV — a higher-trim option for smaller parties on longer routes
- VIP executive Sprinter — a higher-trim option for larger groups on longer routes
- Multiple vehicles dispatched together — for parties beyond the largest single vehicle
Why vehicle sizing matters more in this region
Because most journeys from CBJ are expected to be longer, continuous drives rather than short resort hops, getting the vehicle size right matters more here than at a busy coastal airport. A family with a stroller and car seats, a research team with equipment, or a group with dive or hiking gear all change the practical capacity of a vehicle well before the seat count is reached — planning that in advance is part of how we intend to run this service.
What every vehicle class is planned to include
Air conditioning, a licensed and insured driver, and car seats or boosters fitted on request are expected to be part of every class, standard or VIP. None of that is a promise about CBJ's arrivals process itself, which has not been announced — it describes how we intend to operate the vehicles once the airport is open.
Telling us what you need in advance
Since there is no live booking system yet, the most useful thing a traveller can do today is register interest with an accurate group size, luggage load and any special equipment. That lets us plan the right vehicle class ahead of CBJ's opening rather than guessing on the day.
Planned vehicle classes
| Vehicle | Status |
|---|---|
| Standard | Private vehicle — your group only · Driver meets your party on arrival · Flight tracking · SUV or van by party size · A/C, luggage help, bottled water · Door-to-door in the Pedernales region |
| VIP | Everything in Standard · Luxury SUV or executive van · Priority meet on arrival · Cold towels and premium water · Child seats pre-installed on request · Captain-style driver |
CBJ is planned to open in February 2027. Transfer prices will be published once the airport's opening and terminal access are officially confirmed — until then we take advance requests and send your quote the moment rates are set.

- Can I choose a vehicle class today?
- You can tell us your preference when you register interest, but there is no live booking until CBJ opens and its transfer service is officially confirmed.
- How many passengers is each planned class built for?
- Broadly: standard SUV or minivan for smaller parties, passenger van or minibus for larger groups, and VIP executive SUV or Sprinter versions of both for a higher trim on longer routes.
- Will car seats be available in every class?
- That is the plan — car seats and boosters fitted on request in any vehicle class, at no separate charge once rates are published.
- Can the fleet handle diving, research or hiking equipment?
- That is part of the plan. Tell us about oversized or specialist gear when you register interest so the right vehicle class can be planned in advance.
