Staying at Two Hotels? Plan Your CBJ Transfers and Hotel Change

Map the trip as three separate journeys

A stay at two hotels needs more than one accommodation name in an airport enquiry. Label the arrival leg, the hotel-change leg and the departure leg separately, even if you hope to discuss them with one provider.

The website currently accepts advance enquiries, not confirmed CBJ bookings. A planned private-transfer service does not establish an available hotel-to-hotel service. Ask which journeys can actually be arranged and which remain requests.

Identify both hotels and the entrance for each

Use full property names, addresses and stay dates rather than only a zone or a beach name. For example, the existing directory places Eco del Mar in the Cabo Rojo zone and Hotel Playazul in the Barahona zone. These are examples of different destinations, not a suggested hotel combination or confirmed connecting route.

Record the entrance or meeting instructions to be agreed for each property. Hotel recognition selects a zone for the enquiry; it does not approve a route, calculate a confirmed price or copy the correct return address automatically. State the second hotel clearly in the notes.

Coordinate checkout, luggage and access to the next room

Ask the first accommodation when you must leave the room and the second when you can arrive and access it. A hotel-change pickup date is not necessarily a flight date, and room-access time is not automatically the agreed transfer time.

If there is a gap, ask both properties what arrangements they can explicitly confirm. Do not assume early check-in, late checkout, luggage storage, staff availability or that a vehicle will wait. Keep responsibility for luggage and any agreed handover clear.

Request the hotel-to-hotel journey separately

Send the moving date, exact pickup and drop-off addresses, preferred pickup window, passengers, luggage and any child-seat, mobility or boarding requirements. Explain whether everyone moves together; changes to the group or equipment need to be assessed for that leg.

Ask whether the move is possible and request a separate quote or a clearly itemized line in a complete proposal. Ask what is included and which terms apply. A price or confirmation for the two airport legs does not by itself confirm the hotel move. Use the existing enquiry notes; no new booking flow is needed.

What to check in a CBJ transfer quote before accepting

Set the return pickup from your final accommodation

Give the actual final hotel, departure airport, airline, flight number and flight departure date. Ask for written confirmation of the pickup address and its own local date and time; do not simply reuse the first hotel or arrival zone.

For a flight after midnight, the pickup date can differ from the flight date. Use the existing overnight-departure guide for the calendar details. Do not guess a pickup time from a hotel zone or assume a hotel change leaves the original departure arrangement suitable.

Keep one written itinerary with each leg’s status

A useful message is: ‘Arrival: airport …, flight …, local date/time …, Hotel A … . Move: date …, Hotel A address … to Hotel B address …, preferred time … . Departure: Hotel B …, airport …, flight and departure date … . Passengers, bags and requirements for each leg: … . Please confirm each journey separately.’

Keep the final accepted addresses, dates, agreed times, quote, terms and contact details together. If a hotel changes again, identify the affected leg and request an updated confirmation. Save the plan offline and rely only on arrangements specifically confirmed to you.
